SINGER BOOK OF THE MONTH
Each month, our school features a special book for students to read and explore together. All lower-grade classrooms read the same title, and all upper-grade classrooms read another – and our goal is for each classroom to receive its own copy. The only way we can make that happen is with the support of our parents and community. We choose books that allow children to see themselves in the stories they read – and to also discover experiences, cultures, and perspectives different from their own. Teachers lead engaging activities and discussions built around that month’s story.
If you’d like to help us put a copy of these books into every classroom, please consider purchasing a book from this Singer Book of the Month Amazon Wish List. The address will ship directly to school.
EQUITY BOOKS
Flora Singer Elementary School has also initiated a program to introduce a diverse set of books into the classrooms so that the cultures, holidays, rituals, and ideas that our kids are exposed to reflect the diversity of our community. Please support this important initiative by fulfilling the Equity Books Wishlists.
Thank you for helping us bring meaningful and inspiring stories into every classroom at Flora Singer Elementary School!

Help keep our school's health room stocked! The health room stocks pants and underwear for students who have bathroom accidents or experience a spill, fall, or other incident that necessitates a change of clothes. The goal is to minimize the disruption to the child's day. This also saves caregivers from having to rush to school with a change of clothes. Click here for the Health Room Supplies wishlist. Additionally, when clearing out clothes your kids have outgrown, please consider donating pants that are in good shape (particularly in sizes 4-8) to the health room. You can send donations to school with your child to deliver or drop off in the main office.
Our school's staff plays a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for students. To recognize their hard work and dedication, we invite you to nominate an exceptional staff member to be our Staff Member of the Month! Nominations can be submitted throughout the year using the links below:
