The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Fair is a fun, non-competitive weekend event open to all students. In 2023, it will be held Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Students work at home on a STEM project, then create a display board to share their project with the school community. Science demonstrations, snacks, and giveaways round out the morning! The science fair website includes a registration form and links to the science fair guide (in English and Spanish) with project ideas and a simplified description of the scientific method for kids.
WHAT:
The Flora Singer PTA is pleased to coordinate after school enrichment activities! We will once again use the Kiddo platform to coordinate with activity providers and streamline the registration process for families.* We have secured a diversity of activities for the spring season, including baseball, chess, karate, science, Spanish, soccer and more. Use this link to get to the Flora Singer offerings. Registration is now open!
WHEN:
Activities are held once per week, after school is dismissed, and usually last one hour. Families are responsible for transporting their students home.
HOW TO REGISTER:
To register your student for after school activities, you must first create a free Kiddo account here. After your account is created, you will set up a student profile, select the activities you want to register for, and add your payment method.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
The PTA is offering 50% and 90% scholarships so that cost is not a barrier to student participation. If your family needs financial assistance, please contact the Flora Singer Counselors or use this QR Code to access the scholarship application form. Demand in the Fall was high and remaining scholarship funds are limited. Deadline to request a scholarship is December 2.
